What you can expect from the Sweet in Silford series

Get guidance on trigger warnings and expectations across my books.

There are so many things I love about omegaverse stories.  They can be so sugary sweet when they want to be and I just eat them up!

They can be problematic, though, and I want you to know whether you’ll enjoy reading my Sweet in Silford series, so I’ve laid out a few things I do and don’t write about in this alpha/omega series.

Body positivity

You’ll get a lot of body positivity in these books!

From chubby alphas to muscular, football-playing alphas, from faded looks to model-beautiful omegas, all my men are beautiful and they all find their HEA.

Found family

Come on, you know I love a found family.  This is my reading kryptonite and I’m going to revel in it for as long as I can.

In this series, you can expect everyone to find their tribe.  I believe that the right person (boyfriend or sibling or BFF) will support, champion and love unconditionally, and that’s what I love to write.

Gender/presentation equality

I’m really fussy about which alpha/omega books I read because there are a few tropes I don’t like (no shade on the people who do like them, you’re allowed to like what you like).

My personal taste is for an equal (or near-equal) society in which omegas and alphas are treated as people.  I won’t be writing any stories about omegas being considered property be society and the alpha graciously chooses to see them as a person but the law still says they’re not.  This is particularly important to me because omegas are feminine-coded by the fact that they can give birth and they are smaller and weaker than the alphas.  Gender equality has a long way to go in our (Western) society and I like to quietly champion that by writing stories about equality, respect and consent.

Similarly, I don’t like alphaholes who are domineering or controlling.  Don’t get me wrong, part of the fun of an omegaverse is all those *hormones* raging, but giving alphas (masculine-coded) a free pass for abusive behaviour because of hashtag biology is a nope from me.  If you enjoy reading that, it’s a-ok by me (and some people do, particularly because reading is a safe space to experience things in a controlled way) but you won’t find that in this series.

What you WILL find is a lot of feelings, protective alphas (and omegas), true love, some silliness, and enough steam to strip the wallpaper!

Actually, I like to play with stereotypes and have a total weakness for soft-hearted alphas and bossy omegas.  What my men look like shouldn’t stop them from being who they are or finding someone to love them.

I even queer up the gay MPreg (yes, it’s possible!) by writing alpha/alpha stories and omega/omega stories.

Escapism

These are funny, fluffy and seriously steamy novellas!

I want to give you books that help you escape reality for a couple of hours, cheer you up, give you hope and make you smile.  You deserve it!

If you’re looking for something with more depth and more action and adventure (and more shifters), then check out my Dragon’s Mate series.
